Terms & conditions

 

1.    Definitions

“ We” or “Us” refers to Premier Algarve Rentals.

“You” refers to all those for whom the accommodation is required.

2.    Party leader

This is the first named person on the booking form.

He / she

·         must be at least 18 years of age;

·         must be authorised by all of those on whose behalf the booking is made to accept these terms and conditions;

·         has read these terms and conditions and agrees to be bound by them;

3.    Booking deposit

(a)  payment of a deposit of 20% of the total booking fee is required on booking;

(b)  the full balance of the booking fee is payable not less than 60 days weeks before the date of arrival at the accommodation;

(c)  should the booking be made less than 60 days prior to the date of arrival at the accommodation, the full balance is payable at the time of booking;

(d)  should payment not be made in full further to 3(b) above we reserve the right to cancel the booking. The deposit referred to in 3 (a) is non-refundable;

(e)  for the avoidance of doubt, payment of the deposit will be treated as acceptance of these terms and conditions;

4.    Cancellation and changes

(a)  Should you choose to cancel your booking the following will apply: -

·         60 days or more prior to arrival. Loss of deposit;

·         30 to 59 days prior to arrival. Loss of 50% of total booking fee;

·         less than 30 days. Loss of 90% of total booking fee.

(b)  Any cancellation must be in writing;

(c)  In the event of a cancellation during the holiday any refund is at our discretion;

(d)  In the unlikely event that we are forced to change the details of your booking the following will apply: -

·         You may cancel with a full refund. No compensation will be given;

·         Change made more than 70 days prior to the date of arrival. No compensation payable;

·         Change made 42 to 70 days prior to the date of arrival.

30 euros payable;

·         Change made 28 to 41 days prior to the date of arrival.

40 euros payable;

·         Change made 15 to 27 days prior to the date of arrival.

60 euros payable;

·         under 15 days prior to the date of arrival.

75 euros payable;

(e)  The above refers to bookings rather than individuals;

(f)   No further compensation will be available.

5.    Arrival

(a)  We will meet you at the accommodation to give you the keys and show you around.

(b)  Should your flight be due to arrive between 2000 and 0700 you will be subject to a charge of €20.

 

6.    Damage deposit 

(a)  We reserve the right to request a refundable damage / key deposit payable on arrival to our local representative;

(b)  With regard to the above, any damage you may encounter should be reported to our local representative within 24 hours of arrival;

(c)  Further to (a) above, this will include loss of keys, damage to the accommodation or anything therein and any unforeseen cleaning requirements. 

 

7.    Accommodation

(a)  This is exclusively for those listed on the booking form;

(b)  For avoidance of doubt, all those for whom accommodation is required, including children, must be named on the booking form;

(c)  We reserve the right to cancel your booking with immediate effect should there be unauthorised overnight occupants (those without our prior consent);

(d)  Should you wish to change a named occupier on the booking form referred to at (a) above you must do so more than 30 days prior to arrival, it will be subject to our approval and you will be liable for any additional costs that we incur by virtue of this;

(e)  The “party leader” remains liable further to paragraph 2 above

 

8.    Check in / out

(a)  You will be able to check in from 4pm on the day of arrival and must check out by 10am on the day of departure.

(b)   We may be able to agree early check in or late check out subject to  availability. Each will incur a fee of €20.

(c)  Unauthorised late check out will incur a fee of €100.

 

9.    Your responsibilities

(a)  Minors (under 18 years of age) must not be left unsupervised in the accommodation;

(b)  You must ensure adherence to the rules of the accommodation complex (therefore covering communal areas) and may be required to vacate should any complaints be received due to those rules being broken;

(c)  We may ask for evidence of adequate insurance against theft, accidents or personal injury covering all to all members of the party. We would also recommend cancellation insurance.

 

10. Our responsibilities

(a)  In the event of an emergency deemed to be a potential health and safety issue we will endeavour to attend the property within 8 hours of being notified;

(b)  We will endeavour to address any other issues within a reasonable time of being notified;

(c)  We will ensure that your details will not be disclosed to third parties in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

 

11. Our Liability

(a)  We cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss, delay, loss of enjoyment or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Such circumstances include but are not limited to war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist threat or activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, airport closures, bad weather conditions, interruption or failure of a utility service or the acts of a local or national government (force majeure);

(b)  We accept no responsibility for any products booked in conjunction with this booking but supplied by a third party;

(c)   Should we be aware of any building work in the vicinity of your accommodation that we consider may cause interference to your enjoyment we will inform you of this. The criteria used will be based on health and safety, noise or dust pollution.

 

12. Complaints

(a)  In the unlikely event that you have cause for complaint during the duration of your stay this should be reported to our local representative;
